"O Sovereign, Majestic Lord, Who Stands Above..." - 17 July 2022

Most loving Father, who has called us into your family by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and by the working of your Holy Spirit, give us strength and desire to walk worthy of our calling, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity produced by the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:1-3).

Now that our Mega Sports Camp Vacation Bible School is over, we pray for the kids and adults we interacted with. We implore you to keep the good and right that was done and said in their memories. Stir their hearts to embrace Jesus Christ freely offered to us in the Gospel. Thank you for the opportunities you gave us. Please, may we see some fruition.

Look upon your Church throughout the world, including Vandament Ave Baptist Church, Voice of Praise, Wildewood, and Sunnymeade Baptist Church. Give your approval and aid to the feeble attempts at being trustworthy to you, pouring out on us your unstoppable peace and provision; and grant us to stand firm as faithful witnesses.

O Sovereign, majestic Lord, who stands above all principalities, dominions, thrones, presidencies, and powers: manifest your might and glory in our country by turning the citizens of this nation toward compassionate, fair-minded, industrious, virtuous, honorable living. Please take our governmental leaders in hand to restrain what may be vile, vicious, and unconstitutional, and raise up among them what is good, just, godly, and constitutional. And look upon our land in the midst of this broiling weather. Send relief, O Lord, and send us the rains and showers we need, in the amount we need and way we need.

We implore your kindest care and compassion on the nations of our world, especially where there is turmoil, terror, trouble, and turbulence. We especially pray for your guidance, peacefulness, law and order for Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, China, Burkina Faso, Ukraine, and the Russian Federation. And where evil stubbornly sits enthroned, hardhearted and brazen-faced, bring it down.

O God Most High, giver of all good gifts, who provides our daily necessities and even many of our niceties; we ask you to lift up those who are downhearted or disconsolate, drained or dreary in body or mind; along with those who are distraught or dismayed with dread and disquietude, (…). Grant them recovery and restored health; or strength and stubborn resilience.

Finally, we call to mind our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, enemies, and acquaintances who have not confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and continue to walk in darkness, as well as those who have turned away from the Christian Faith (…). Save them, O Lord, and bring them your righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. And now we pray as we have been taught, saying, Our Father…
