"Home Made Hand Sanitizer Recipes" by Martha McDowell. A Quick Review
In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, shelves at the grocery
store and pharmacies have been immediately cleared out. Hand sanitizer, antibacterial
soaps, wipes, masks and more, vacated the stores in nanoseconds. But Martha
McDowell, prolific author on health foods, healthy living, and domestic abuse,
has come to the rescue! Her soon-to-be-published manual, “Home Made Hand
Sanitizer Recipes: Make Your Own Anti-Viral & Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer
Gel & Spray at Home to Protect Yourself from Viruses & Germs” is less
than 100 pages, and ideal for anyone who desires to take some easy steps to shield
themselves and their families. And the items she refers to are still on the
shelves, because most people pass them by. You can purchase this book here: "Home Made Hand Sanitizer".
McDowell maps out the pros and cons of alcohol-based and
non-alcohol hand sanitizers. Further, she addresses the myths about these disinfecting
items. She then encourages readers with the ease of making their own. Next, McDowell
lays out a very low-tech way to produce simple hand sanitizers for pump bottles
or sprayers. She even shows how to add fragrant variety. The process is just a
few stress-free steps and – viola! – you’re good to go! For extra good form,
she has included a chapter on ways to make masks from bandanas. The manuscript
is full of QR codes that give the reader other avenues for obtaining the
resources they need.
“Homemade Hand Sanitizer Recipes” is so trouble-free and uncomplicated,
once you make your own, you’ll likely never go back to store-bought brands.
This is going to be the book to have, not only during the present epidemic, but
for years to come. I highly recommend the booklet.
My thanks to the author, who contacted me and asked if I’d
be willing to review the book. She made no stipulations other than an honest
review. My assessment is freely made and freely given.
