Image
O LORD, who created the heavens (you are God!), who formed the earth and made it (you established it; you did not create it empty, you formed it to be inhabited!), you have spoken and said: “ I am the LORD, and there is no other. I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I the LORD speak the truth; I declare what is right ” (Isaiah 45:18-19). It is to you we come to seek your face and call for help. We pray for this congregation, Messiah Lutheran Church, St. Mark’s, St. Paul’s, Trinity of Edmond, Trinity of OKC and Zion Lutheran, that we all may be united together by your Holy Spirit, in your true Truth, and around your Son Jesus. We additionally pray for all of the congregations in our Hills and Plains Presbytery that you would guide us in truly and humbly serving you in order that your name may be glorified before all people and that we would love truth and peace (Zechariah 8:19). And please, oh please, look on our b...

"In The LORD I Take Refuge" - 26 July 2026

Image
In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, “Flee like a bird to your mountain, for behold, the wicked bend the bow; they have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart; if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? ” O Lord our refuge, our shelter in the midst of storms, for those who are taunted and teased by their afflictions, ailments, burdens or biliousness to “ flee like a bird to your mountain ,” we pray (…). Enfold them in your compassion and fill them with courage that they may rejoice in your goodness. For those being aimed at by the bow of the wicked, shot at in the dark and dimness, we pray (…). Shield them from the fiery darts and screen them from slander and spite. For those who are rocking and reeling and feeling as if the bottom is falling out, we pray (…). May they find in you their sure foundation and be built up in sturdy strength.     The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD's t...

Holy Father, High Watermark of All True Fatherhood" - 21 June 2026

Image
Holy Father, you who are the highwater mark of all true fatherhood: we are grateful for our fathers, especially when their firm love and care reverberated harmoniously with the melody of your own fatherhood. Help us to rightly honor our fathers and their memories. For those fathers in our lives who missed the mark, grant them to find you a true Father in Jesus Christ; repair that which they scarred or marred or broke and heal the wounds. For the fathers here in our fellowship we ask you to guide us by your fatherly hand that we will be, more and more, a noble and wholesome reflection of you to our children, whether those children are still at home or out on their own. And reclaim and reestablish the honorableness of fatherhood in your church throughout America. Lord God of Hosts, the whole earth is filled with your glory. For the welfare of all we beseech you to arm world leaders with the tools, desires, energy and abilities to establish and enforce real justice and integrity tha...

"Unless the LORD Builds the House" - 14 June 2026

Image
Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. LORD, you are the One who builds the house, and watches over the city. We plant and water, but you are the one who gives the growth! Bless our congregation with fitting and fair growth; that we would grow roots downward and bear fruit upward; that you would add to our number such as are being saved. Further, we pray for your Church all around this marvelous globe, as well as Westmoore Community Covenant Church, Lighthouse Foursquare, Resurrection Free Methodist and Edmond Free Methodist Church. Uproot the weeds of heresy and apostasy from your church; and cause all to flourish and grow and fruitfully blossom with your true truth and peace. But we also pray for our General Assembly that meets at the end of this month. Prese...

"Be Merciful..." - 31 May 2026

Image
Moses once announced, “ For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them ” (Deuteronomy 4:31); and Paul once prayed, “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort ” (2 Corinthians 1:3). We rejoice that you are merciful, a God of mercies and comfort! Be merciful to your people on every continent, counting this congregation, St. Augustine Episcopal, St. James Episcopal, St. Paul’s Episcopal and Trinity Episcopal. Bring reformation and revival. Exonerate what is true and right and change the hearts and perspectives of those who are misguided and wrongheaded. Be merciful toward our brothers and sisters facing difficult times in difficult places like Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Sudan, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Be merciful and grant us your gracious presence and strength. Be merciful to the Presbyterian Church in America. Govern and g...

"Come, Holy Spirit!" - 24 May 2026

Image
Creator God, in the beginning you made all things of nothing by the power of your word, and all very good and your Spirit hovered over all that was formless and void to bring forth order and life. We pray for your Spirit to hover over us; and we pray that your Spirit will continue to cause the earth to bring forth bountifully. We pray: Come, Holy Spirit! Revealing God, you assigned prophets, Apostles, Judges, and Psalmists – like Moses, Deborah, David and Isaiah, Peter and Paul – to bring forth your decrees, directions and adorations, and you clothed them with your Spirit who guided them and testified through them of the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. Cloth us with your Spirit that we may bravely serve you and our neighbors in love and truth pointing them to Jesus. We pray: Come, Holy Spirit! Holy God, you sent your Son Jesus Christ into the world that through him we might have life. And after his death, burial, resurrection and ascension, you sent forth your Ho...

"Blessed is the Man Who Fears the LORD" (Psalm 112) - 17 May 2026

Image
Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. We pray for your Church, O God, throughout the greater Oklahoma City area, this congregation, Grace Covenant, St. Benedict Orthodox, St. Elijah Antiochan Orthodox, and St. George Greek Orthodox. May your Church be blessed walking in the fear of God, submitting to Scripture alone, believing in Christ alone and delighting in your glory alone. May we be repentant where we have gone astray, especially where we have come to rely on our own works and ethnic pride as somehow giving us standing with you. May your grace break in, reforming and reviving us in our manners, message, and mission. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. Watch over Pastor Ezra Jyn, those beloved brothers an...

"We Come, Lord, At Your Bidding" - 3 May 2026

Image
It is our privilege and honor to be invited into your presence to pray on behalf of the world and your church. And in your Son Jesus Christ our Lord you have given us bold access into your presence to bring our cares and petitions. We come, Lord, at your invitation and bidding. For those in our State, townships and neighborhoods who feel that all hope is gone; who are in despair and deep in darkness; who are in continual pain. We pray that you would place people in their lives who will hold on to them and walk with them through it all. And we especially pray for those who are having thoughts of suicide. O God, break into the grief and gloom with your hope, and raise them up to see your life and light in Jesus Christ. For those who are in great need, who have chronic health troubles, who are being treated for cancer, and other infirmities (…). We pray for them to have relief, to walk whole and healthy. And we pray for them to overcome the doubts and disbelief that seem to normally...

"There Is None Holy like the LORD..." 26 April 2026

Image
“ There is none holy like the LORD: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God ” (1 Samuel 2:2). We offer up to you our thanksgiving for all your generosity to us, especially in preserving our health, sanity and livability. We pray for your churches throughout the nations and around Oklahoma City such as: Midwest City Community Church of the Nazarene, Moore Church of the Nazarene, Oakcliff, and Piedmont. Give them all the resources they need to serve you properly and well, and the heart they need to serve you with sincerity. Deliver our brothers and sisters who are being hounded and harmed for the Faith that they may serve you in peace and joy. “ There is none holy like the LORD: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God. ” Please help us in this congregation so that our families may be filled with godliness and holiness. May those who are single remain consecrated and joyful in their singleness and the married be charitable, gracious and fait...

"Hear My Prayer, O God" - 19 April 2026

Image
O LORD, you who are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, (Exodus 34:6-7): we lay before you our prayers for your world and your church. And so we pray in the name of Christ; O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth (Psalm 54:2). For those who have no one to pray for them: alone, abandoned, abducted, enslaved, ignored, or eliminated, please take up their cause, O Lord, and show them that you know them and know where they are. Rescue them, raise them up, refresh them, and restore them to their families or to society. And where evilness and iniquity have entrapped them, bring justice. And so we pray; O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth . For those who are ailing; for those who have received disappointing diagnoses; for those buried under a suffocating pile of bills...

"You have summoned us to pray..." - 12 April 2026

Image
Almighty God, Heavenly Father, you have summoned us to pray for the Church and the world, that your grace and salvation might become known to all. And you have promised that as we pray in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, you hear us and answer us. And so we pray in the name of Christ, hear in heaven our prayer and our plea, and maintain our cause (1 Kings 8:45). For those in need, the poor and the hungry, the homeless and unemployed, the sick and lonely (…). May they receive the right help at the right time in their distress and find real relief. And so we pray, hear in heaven our prayer and our plea, and maintain our cause . For those who have not yet believed; all in spiritual need; and those who have stumbled and fallen (…). For all of these we pray you to bring them faith, hope and comfort in Jesus Christ. And so we pray, hear in heaven our prayer and our plea, and maintain our cause . For the peace and security of the nations of this world – including Mali, Malta, Marsha...

"Thanks be to God...!" - 5 April 2026

Image
O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure…And you will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. You will swallow up death forever; and you, O Lord GOD, will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of your people you will take away from all the earth, for you, O LORD, have spoken” (Isaiah 25:1, 7-8); “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57). On this great day as your Church all around this globe, in the Presbyterian Church in America, and in the greater Oklahoma City area, rejoices in the victory you have brought through the resurrection of Christ, we pray for those who have, and are, suffering horribly on behalf of our Lord that you would wipe away their tears and remove their reproach. Bring us all to stand in one Spirit, with one mind, striv...

"Look, O Good Shepherd..." - 29 March 2026

Image
“I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down,” declares the Lord GOD. “I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice” (Ezekiel 34:15-16 ). It is to you we pray. Look, O Good Shepherd, with compassion on your one flock all around the world, and around the OKC area to include: New Bethel COGIC, Page Sanctuary, Trinity, and Victory COGIC. With rod and staff, comfort the people of your pasture and the sheep of your hand. Seek out your sheep and rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. Seek the lost, and bring back the strayed, and bind up the injured, and strengthen the weak (Ezekiel 34:12, 16). Look, O Good Shepherd, with compassion upon this part of your one flock, Heritage Presbyterian Church. Bring us to dwell securely; to be a more expressive e...
