"Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us" - 24 May 2015 PM

With the Psalm-writer we say: Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to your name give glory, because of your mercy and because of your truth (Psalm 115.1); O Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for your church throughout the nations, along with the work of the Bangladesh Pastor’s Program and Grace for Pakistan; that you would give them all the resources they need to serve you properly and beautifully, and the heart they need to serve you with sincerity. Please give strength and hope to our brothers and sisters who are being hounded and harmed for the faith; deliver them at a time unlooked for, just at the break of dawn, and turn the hearts of their enemies toward the Son of your Love. O Lord, hear our prayer.

We call upon you to be with Foursquare Church of God; Foursquare Church of OKC; Igelsia Cristiana Rey de Gloria; International Harvest Church; and Mimosa Height Christian Church; Fill them with your Holy Spirit that they may worship you in Spirit and Truth, and walk in your ways all their days. O Lord, hear our prayer.

O God, by your grace you have called us in this Presbytery to a goodly fellowship of faith. Bless our Moderator, David Ridenhour, and our Stated Clerk, David Frierson, as well as our presbyters, deacons and all our people. Grant that in every congregation your Word may be truly preached and truly heard, your Sacraments faithfully administered and faithfully received, and your discipline lovingly given and lovingly accepted. By your Spirit and Word, fashion our lives according to the example of your Son, and grant that we may show the power of your love to all among whom we live. O Lord, hear our prayer.

We remember before you those who need to repent of their sins and embrace your Son in genuine faith….Show them your mercy, and rouse them to faith in Christ. O Lord, hear our prayer.

O Lord God, keep our country and leaders from giving in to what is evil, unjust, dark and destructive; and lead us in ways of civility, service, prosperity, and justice and liberty for all, born and unborn. Thank you for all who – in the cause of justice and liberty, to secure our nation and preserve us from all enemies foreign and domestic – have served, and given the costly gift of their lives; may they be honored for their valuable service. And guide the nations of the earth so that all peoples, especially your Church, may be safe and secure. O Lord, hear our prayer.

Finally Lord, we look for you aid those with child, and grant quick recovery to those who are about to give birth…; that you would raise up the weak and weary…, establish those who feel blown about with troubles…, brighten the ones harassed with darkness…, give bravery to the ones frightened and anxious…, and health to the sick and the sore... O Lord, hear our prayer.
